TailBones is a “micro-transport” brand that is looking to disrupt the bicycle cargo market by fully enabling the cargo-carrying capabilities of standard-geometry e-bikes.
The pedal-assist technology that goes into the millions of e-bikes being sold each year has revolutionised the way bicycles can now be used: not only are they a deregulated, low-carbon, healthy, accessible and affordable means of moving ourselves from A to B, but they can also be used to move cargo quickly and efficiently, without the negative environmental impact associated with fossil-fuelled transport.
However, the product innovations needed to take advantage of this capability have not kept pace with the rapid development and uptake of e-bike technology across the world. As a result, the cargo-carrying capabilities of the most advanced and innovative standard-geometry e-bikes being sold today are no different to their pedal-powered predecessors.
TailBones aims to change all this. After more than 2 years of intensive R&D, we are now in the final stages of our product development, and we can't wait to unveil the TailBones Cycle Cargo System - simply a better way of transporting cargo by bike.
The next stage for us will be a crowdfunding campaign that we are confident will win the support needed to make TailBones a leading brand and innovator in this new and exciting market.
